Mary Jo Pouillon

Preschool & Daycare Director

I absolutely LOVE working with children and their families!  I am so excited for this journey at Noah’s Ark.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Saginaw Valley State University and an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Mott Community College.  I first began my early childhood career here, at Noah’s Ark, in 2002.  In 2011 I made a switch to CCDC to help further my career; I was a lead teacher for 5 years and the Assistant Director for 2 years.  I have been back at Noah’s Ark as director since 2019. I have experience working with children of all ages, but have an extra passion for PreK and school agers.

I was born and raised in Owosso and graduated from OHS in 2001.  In high school and college I competed on the track and field team in the throwing events.  I earned All-American honors for the indoor shot put in the NCAA Division II Championships.

I raised my niece, Molly, who is now attending SVSU and also works here in the infant rooms.  I enjoy live music, games with friends, enjoying a pipe or cigar, arts and crafts in various forms, and learning new things.  I also like to try new foods from other cultures, laugh at spooky movies, and cuddle with my cats, Mylee and Margot.  I have a movie quote or song lyric for any occasion and I enjoy making people laugh.
